Mt. Everest trek itinerary:

DAY 1:  OCTOBER 15

Trekker’s participants will depart to their country of origin and start locating their flight to Kathmandu. Upon your arrival in Kathmandu (1000m/3280ft) CCSV-Nepal and the guesthouse representative will meet you at Airport & transfer to you Hotel Great wall. At the evening you will have your first taste of Nepalese food (dinner) at the authentic Nepalese Restaurant Nepali Chulo and have a chance to see the famous Nepalese cultural dance.

DAY 2: OCTOBER 16

After an early breakfast, trekkers will have a Half-day Kathmandu city tours (tour includes Kathmandu Durbar Square, Syambunath Stupa, Pashupati Nath Temple - Hindu Temple & Buddha Nath - The biggest Buddha Stupa in ancient Kathmandu). Afternoon pre-trip discussion of next day trek’s.

DAY 3: OCTOBER 17

Kathmandu - Lukla

Trekkers will take a domestic early morning flight to Lukla which will take about 30 min; Trek to Phakding - 4 hrs Height (9,200 feet). Overnight on the lodge in Phakding .

DAY 4: OCTOBER 18

Phakding - Namche Bazar (11,300 feet)

The trail cross Dudhkoshi River through a long suspension bridge then trail leads you crossing side by side along the river to Hilary's Suspension Bridge. Overnight in Namche Bazaar Lodge.

DAY 5: OCTOBER 19

Namche Bazar Kumjhujung & Khunde (12,400 feet)

To help with our acclimatization, Trekkers still will spend their second night in Namche. During the second day they will go to the Sagarmatha National park where they have a chance to see the first views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. After lunch trekkers will hike up to Kumjung to see the famous "Yeti" skull and the gompa then to Khunde to see the Hillary Hospital. 

DAY 6: OCTOBER 20

Namche Bazar to Tengboche (12,670 feet)

An enjoyable walk down to the river at Phunki Thanhka to lunch next to water driven prayer wheels. A steep but short climb takes us to Tengboche Monastery through forests of blue pine, fir and black juniper.

DAY 7: OCTOBER 21

Thangboche to Periche (13,780 feet)

After an early breakfast, we tour the largest and most important monastery in the region, Thangboche. Following the Imja Khola we go through Pangboche and over a short hill to the small village of Periche.

DAY 8: OCTOBER 22

PHERICHE rest for acclimatization:Another acclimatisation day should be spent at Pheriche. As at Namche Bazaar, a complete day walk further high altitude is planned rather then just rest. an acclimatization day by climbing a spectacular point of rock above Dingboche. For most people, this will be the highest they have been up to this point. There are up close views of Taweche and Ama Dablam. In the distance one can see Island Peak and Makalu, one of the fourteen 8,000 meter peaks on earth of which Everest and Lhotse are members.

DAY 9: OCTOBER 23

Periche to Lobuche (16,175 feet)

After a short walk we'll climb and the trail continues along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and passes by stone memorials for climbers who have perished on nearby summits. We follow the trail to Lobuche and camp just below the terminal moraine of a tributary glacier.

DAY 10: OCTOBER 24

LOBUCHE to Everest Base Camp (17,192 feet)

We will get an early start for our trek to Base camp. After about two hours we reach Gorak Shep. Another hour or hiking will take us to base camp. From here the view is one of the most spectacular anywhere in the World. The highest mountains in the World will surround you. Mt. Pumori with its steep ice walls and hanging glaciers seem so close that you could touch them.

DAY 11: OCTOBER 25

Lobuje to Pangboche.

Loboche has seen had many improvements in the last couple of years. Due to the increased numbers visiting this area new lodges are being built and are now somewhat comfortable. After a leisurely morning we will hike to Pangboche.

DAY 12: OCTOBER 26

Pangboche - Namche

Now the trail retrace same way back and stop at Tengboche, during the November-December full moon the colorful Mani Rimdu festival is held here with much singing and dancing. Height 3480m.O/N Namche Bazaar.

DAY 13: OCTOBER 27

Namche Bazaar - Phakding

Today the trail steeply descends to the Hillary made suspension Bridge and then continue easy natural trail. O/N Phakding.

DAY 14: OCTOBER 28

Phakding - Lukla

Four hours walking takes you to Lukla and has many shops, pool houses, electricity and you will have nice cold/hot showers. Overnight in Lukla lodge.

DAY 15: OCTOBER 29

Fly to Kathmandu

An early morning flight from Lukla and check in to hotel Great wall in Kathmandu, free day. Trekkers will have the chance to see more of Kathmandu, temples, and palaces or even go for shopping souvenirs.

DAY 16: OCTOBER 30

CCSV-Nepal Program/Projects Tours

After an early breakfast, CCSV-Nepal organized a tour where you have a chance to visit orphanages and monasteries that your funds (donation) will be benefiting. At the Evening trekkers will meet together for a farewell Dinner Party!!!



DAY 17: OCTOBER 31

Last Day in Kathmandu: Departure transfer to your onward flight. Trek Concludes or stay on to enjoy optional tours such as Jungle Safari, River Rafting and the famous bungee jumping or spend some weeks to Volunteer.
