Center for Cultural Studies & Volunteering - Nepal
Working towards a sustainable development ...
Our program offers a unique opportunity for interested individuals, couples, groups and organizations to make a contribution to Nepali society, while simultaneously experiencing the rich culture and difference aspect of urban and rural life in Nepal, one of the most beautiful and diverse countries of the world. The degree to which volunteers contribute to Nepali communities varies according to motivation and personal capacity; however, no experience is necessary and we strongly encourage all applicants.

We have several choices of program for Volunteering such as:

Teaching English Program - Volunteers will be placed in government, community, Simi private, or boarding schools to teach English to Nepali children between the ages of 5 to 16 years of age.

Orphanages Program - This is a wonderful chance for volunteers to interact and learn from Nepali children, by helping with their day-to-day
Activities.

Cultural Exchange/Home Stay Program - Short-term volunteers can enjoy the mystical culture of Nepal by staying with a local host family who will share the traditions, food, language, and overall lifestyle that makes Nepal such a fascinating country.

Medical Health & Education Program - Qualified medical students, doctors, nurses will work in large general hospitals, maternity clinks, children’s hospitals, HIV/AIDS wards, alternative medicine clinics, and rural health posts in and around Kathmandu valley.

Woman's Empowerment Program - For those interested in women‘s issues, they can work within locally dynamic organizations dedicated to uplifting women through counseling, income generating programs, and education.

Teaching English in Monasteries - For those looking for cultural immersion, there is a unique opportunity teaching English in Nepal to Buddhist monks in the serene surroundings of a monastery.

Environmental Awareness Program - Volunteers can create or help with projects that educate local communities on environmental issues.

School and Community Maintenance - In this program Volunteers will have the opportunity to help in a wide range of practical village-based projects. These projects could be as basic as painting or plastering, but those with additional skills may be able to help in more advanced work.

* We also provide help for organizing trekking, rafting and jungle safaris. We will recommend local guides from our different placements to ensure they are given the opportunity to earn money and you'll be given value for money. By drawing on local knowledge, your experience will be all the more rewarding.
